JOB DESCRIPTION
Municipal Operations & Consulting is seeking a Lead Landscaper to to manage parks and wetlands in the 77385 area code (a suburb of Houston, Texas).
RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Mow and trim grass around water and sewer plants
• Operate landscaping equipment such as mowers, edgers, blowers, and weed eaters
• Remove weeds, debris, and overgrowth from facility grounds
• Trim trees and bushes to maintain safe access and visibility
• Apply mulch, gravel, or other ground cover as needed
• Perform grounds inspections and report hazards or issues
• Maintain landscaping tools and equipment
• Work diligently on deadline jobs
• Perform related duties as assigned
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
For indefinite periods of time:
• Working in trenches;
• Exposure to extreme cold, heat, temperature swings, noise, and constant noise;
• Twisting body;
• Standing;
• Squatting;
• Seeing;
• Pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying up to 75 pounds;
• Kneeling;
• Reaching above shoulder level;
• Using both hands for simple and firm grasping and manipulations;
• Clarity of hearing
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Able to:
• Exhibit basic navigation skills of the city of Houston and surrounding areas;
• Use landscaping tools (shovel, rachets, screwdrivers, pickaxes, axes, etc);
• Self-motivated, able to work independently;
• Determination
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
• Previous construction crew experience preferred
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
• Must have valid Texas Driver’s License.
• Must be able to pass drug test

PAY RATE
$17-25 depending on experience and licenses.
