New commercial tap applications

We will need the following to start your project:

1. Completed commercial tap application. Download and complete the PDF document below.
2. County-approved 2’ x 3’ hard copy. Deliver to 20141 Schiel Rd, Attn: Commercial Taps, Cypress, TX 77433. If not provided, we will print in office and $15.00 per page will be added to the final tap quote.
3. County approved civil drawings in electronic (PDF) form, including but not limited to:
   • Cover Sheet
   • Express Review Sheet
   • Utility Plan
   • Traffic Control
   • Storm utility / drainage plans
4. “No objection letter” from MUD engineer
5. Capacity letter from MUD engineer (if applicable)
6. Site contact information including name and phone number for onsite review of construction

Essential information to keep in mind

• Once all documents have been received, we will need to field verify the current condition to ensure we provide a proper tap quote. Please be patient, this does take some time to schedule and complete depending on the current workload.
• If a meter is needed in the meantime, we do offer temporary meter rentals.
• Once payment is received, installation time frame is approximately 4-6 weeks. With bond and permit, the time could be a little longer.
• Please place a stake in the ground marking the easement for the meter location
